The Safety Audit Project Coordinator is a full-time position that oversees the implementation of Oklahoma County’s Safety and Accountability Audit. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning and implementation of the Safety Audit; resource development; and, data and research management. As a Project Coordinator you will use your leadership, positivity and compassion to lead the Safety Audit team, a team that will be composed of partners and professionals that interact with victims in multiple systems.

Essential Functions: 

Utilize the Praxis Safety Audit to conduct an Oklahoma City safety audit.
Recruit key stakeholders from Oklahoma County to participate in the Oklahoma County Safety Audit team.
Serve as the designated liaison for all members of the Safety Audit team and the community regarding any matter related to the Safety and Accountability Audit.
Lead and conduct regular debriefings of Safety Audit Team to analyze results and findings.
Be responsible for arranging and scheduling interviews, observations, and other methods of data collection necessary to conduct the Safety and Accountability Audit.
Present all findings and recommendations of the Safety and Accountability Audit as requested.
Serve as the lead coordinator for implementation of all recommendations resulting from the Safety and Accountability Audit and any necessary followup studies.
Participate in interagency conferences, trainings, meetings and host monthly committee meetings to keep aware of developments in the areas of collaboration, victim safety and offender accountability and any other related issues.
Serve as Project Director for the Improving Criminal Justice Responses grant, completing reports and maintaining data and records.

Additional Responsibilities:

Adherence to all federal and state regulations regarding client services, specifically avoiding inappropriate conduct and strictly maintaining client confidentiality.
Maintain a high level of professional and ethical conduct towards clients, staff and the community.
Maintain and promote a philosophy of customer service consistent with the goals of Palomar.  Be sensitive to client service issues and flexible enough to respond to the needs of individual clients.
Must be sensitive to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population as well as coworkers.
Ability to effectively meet with and engage the public; ability to establish effective working relationships with supervisor, employees, onsite and offsite partners and the general public;
Ability to effectively communicate in written form and orally, in a clear, concise manner, with staff, management, partners agencies, victims, and the general public;
Must be able to respond effectively to client crisis and stressful situations.
Qualifications:

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Education Preferred: Master’s Degree

Comment: Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Services field. Master’s Degree preferred in Social Work or Human Services field.

The ability to work in a fast paced environment, conflict resolution skills and solution-focused problem solving is a must.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time in an office environment and must be able to lift/move weight up to 25lbs. Employees are also required to accept incoming calls and must be able to hear and speak. Must have visual acuity to read and draft reports, case notes, letters, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. Must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer. The noise level is quiet to moderate; non-smoking environment.
