Infographic: The Cost of Domestic Violence

A common theme every night on our local news is the prevalence of violence. Oklahoma City already pays significantly for violence through taxes, philanthropy, and loss of productivity. And for children in violent homes, you can’t quantify the cost of being robbed of your childhood.

We performed a cost analysis of one client in one year: the cost of domestic violence was $154,868. That number multiplied by our 3,266 clients in 2018 equals the potential yearly cost to Oklahoma City: $505.8 million. What could our community do with that money instead?
