Infographic: Domestic Violence Against Latinas

About 1 in 3 Latinas (34.4%) will experience domestic violence during her lifetime. This rate is comparable to that of women from other racial groups. However, Hispanic and Latina women face additional forms of power and control, such as the use of immigration status, cultural norms, and/or religious beliefs. They may also face additional obstacles when seeking services for violence and abuse, including a lack of culturally and/or linguistically relevant services or a fear of deportation.
