Service Opportunities
at Palomar

Palomar offers opportunities for individuals to support survivors in a variety of ways, from short-term service events to long-term volunteer or internship positions. Once your application has been submitted and processed, Palomar’s Director of Volunteers & Engagement will reach out with details about next steps. All volunteers and interns must pass a background check and complete the necessary training for their chosen opportunities. Internship applicants are encouraged to apply at least one semester in advance to allow time for placement and scheduling.

Option 1: Volunteer at a Community Service Event

Service projects are hosted every other month on weeknights or weekends, perfect for those with full-time obligations. These projects provide a hands-on introduction to Palomar’s mission and a tour of our agency.

Option 2: Stock Our Comfort Café

Our Comfort Café is a vital space where survivors and their families find nourishment and comfort while they are pursuing services. We invite you to join us in selecting a date to stock the Café!

Note: More information about donation drop off and items will be sent out upon registration.

Option 3: Apply for an Onsite Volunteer Position or Internship

For individuals seeking a consistent, onsite role at Palomar, we offer meaningful volunteer and internship opportunities that support our mission of providing protection, hope, and healing to survivors. Volunteers and interns serve alongside Palomar staff and community partners, supporting clients through direct and indirect services.

Note: Internships are ideal for students seeking school credit or individuals interested in gaining experience in victim-survivor services. Internships that require specific supervision may be limited or unavailable. You will be notified if Palomar does not have a supervisor that meets your needs.
