What is the Animal Advocacy Program?
The Oklahoma Humane Society and Palomar came together to create the Animal Advocacy Program in 2018 with one goal in mind: to provide crisis services to animals affected by domestic violence. And that is just what we have done.
What services does the program provide?
- Foster homes for pets
- Pet supply pantry
- Pet security deposits
- Veterinary care resources
- Animal-abuse-related police report advocacy
- Pet-related legal advocacy
How can I access these services?
You can walk-in to Palomar, no appointment necessary. You can also call us at 405-552-1010 or email [email protected] to get connected to the Animal Advocacy Program’s services.
How can I help?
Sign up to foster pets for our clients escaping violent homes. Providing temporary shelter for these animals allows our human survivors to focus on their needs and finding a safe place out of harm’s way, until they can bring their entire family back together again. All food and veterinary care is provided for our foster animals.
