Mobile Client Navigator
Reports to: Client Services Manager

Essential Job Duties:
- Provide mobile case management services by meeting clients in accessible, safe, and convenient community locations.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand client histories of trauma and barriers to well-being.
- Collaborate with clients to develop individualized service plans that address short-term and long-term goals.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients in conversations about their well-being and self-determined goals.
- Track and document client movement through services via salesforce, including service notes, client demographic/contact information, and other identifiers needed for grant compliance;
- Provide information on victim’s rights and victims compensation benefits; review information with clients to ensure they understand, and answer any questions that may arise;
- Provide appropriate communications, connections and follow-up with onsite and offsite service agencies and the clients to assure high customer satisfaction;
- Build/maintain working relationships and trust with clients, FJC agency partners and community resource providers, through regular follow ups;
- Facilitate access to wraparound resources across the 8 dimensions of wellness by leveraging both formal and informal community partnerships.
- Provide ongoing advocacy and crisis intervention to support clients through complex challenges.
- Maintain weekly contact with clients and conduct bi-monthly in-person visits to monitor progress and update plans.
- Maintain knowledge of court/justice systems and statutes as they relate to family, custody, divorce, and housing law while accurately representing this knowledge to clients in a non-legal counsel capacity;
- Provide emotional support to individuals facing complex challenges, such as trauma, abuse, housing instability, and/or mental health concerns;
- Offer a compassionate presence to clients seeking connection, validation, or emotional support;
- Utilize trauma-informed de-escalation strategies when engaging with individuals in crisis;
- Coordinate with Palomar’s on-site partners and community agencies to ensure streamlined and holistic care.
- Document client interactions, assessments, and progress using Palomar’s data systems in accordance with confidentiality and compliance standards.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development opportunities.
- Support program growth by providing input on best practices for mobile service delivery and helping to reduce barriers to care.
- Serve as a back up for walk-in clients when onsite at Palomar.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and day-to-day operations of Palomar.
Position Requirements:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) -Preferred
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or a related field, or 2 years of experience in a related field;
- Knowledge of best practices relating to domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking including, but not limited to: identification, safety, implementation and confidentiality;
- Broad knowledge of community resources to clients in need of specific immediate services (both on-site and off-site partners) and resources, including shelters and housing, observation facilities, counseling and treatment options;
- Ability to effectively meet with and engage the public; ability to establish effective working relationships with supervisor, employees, onsite and offsite partners and the general public;
- Ability to effectively communicate in written form and orally, in a clear, concise manner, with staff, management, partners agencies, victims, and the general public;
- Must be able to respond effectively to stressful situations;
- Flexibility, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and experience;
- Ability to deal tactfully with people from diverse backgrounds and situations;
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain current automobile insurance, and have reliable personal transportation, as the role requires consistent travel between client appointments and community locations.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time in an office environment.
- Lift/move/carry weight up to 25lbs.
- Must be able to hear and speak English.
- Visual acuity to read and draft reports, case notes, letters, etc.
- Manual dexterity to use and operate a computer.
- Noise level in the office is quiet to moderate; and a non-smoking environment.
