What to Expect

When you come to Palomar, you can expect a welcome, comfortable, and safe environment. We are here to serve you.

Your First Visit

Palomar provides services on a walk-in basis. Because of this, we encourage clients to arrive as early as possible to help reduce wait times.

When you arrive, you will check in at the front desk. You will be given a few forms to fill out before meeting with a Client Navigator. You do not need to know what help you need before coming. The Navigator will listen, answer questions, and help you explore options that may be helpful for you.

Your visit may include meeting with Palomar staff and, when available, partner agencies. Some services may be available the same day. Others may require a referral or a later appointment. You can choose which services you want to explore.

Compassion

At Palomar, you will be treated with care, respect, and understanding. We serve individuals who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, elder abuse, and child abuse.

Our staff will move at your pace and support you without judgment.

Your privacy matters. Palomar follows confidentiality laws, and you choose how and when your information is shared. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and respected.

Collaboration

Palomar brings together 40+ partner agencies in one location. This makes it easier to access different services, such as advocacy, counseling, and legal support, in one place.

Some partner agencies are available the same day, while others may require a referral or a follow-up appointment. Our teams work together to reduce barriers and limit the need for you to repeat your story.

Empowerment

You are in control of your choices. Our role is to share information, explain options, and answer your questions.

We do not make decisions for you. We support you as you decide what is best for your needs and walk alongside you as you move forward.
