OKLAHOMA CITY —
Taco Bueno is marking two years of its Tacos with a Purpose initiative by offering a free taco to Oklahoma customers who give back.
On August 25, Taco Tuesday, guests who round up their purchase to the nearest dollar at participating locations will receive a free Hot Honey Fried Chicken Taco, a $3.99 value. The promotion caps two years of customer generosity that has raised more than $740,000 for domestic violence survivor organizations across Texas and Oklahoma.
Since launching in 2024, the round-up program has directed 100% of donations to nonprofits providing shelter, advocacy and support services. Oklahoma City-based Palomar has received $260,000 through the campaign. Since opening in 2017, Palomar has served more than 30,000 clients affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, child abuse and elder abuse, offering emergency transportation, housing support, counseling and other wraparound services.
“Palomar is proud to celebrate two years of partnership with Taco Bueno and grateful for their continued commitment to supporting survivors,” said Andie Taylor, Palomar’s director of community engagement. “In the past year alone, Palomar served 6,027 unduplicated clients and is on track for another record-breaking year.”
Taco Bueno operates roughly 140 restaurants across the South and Southwest, including Oklahoma.
