For the Love of Reading—Symbols of Hope 2020 Poster
$20.00 – $28.00
For the Love of Reading was illustrated by Charley Dalvine from Cheyenne Middle School for the 2020 Symbols of Hope Art Contest.
“When I read a book, I’m sucked into a world of adventure, a world of romance, a world of multiple different worlds. If it’s a good book, I’ll devour each page as if it were a piece of chocolate cake. I don’t think I could live without books. They keep me entertained, but they can also calm me down if I’m panicking about something at 12:00 am on a school night. That’s why I chose to create a collage of a book. Books are my life. I breathe books. I live to read books.”
The purpose of Symbols of Hope is to promote a culture of peace, inclusion, and hope through creative projects that inspire people to think, discuss solutions, and take positive action. This year, OKC high school and middle school students submitted art related to the theme THRIVE. Thank you to Cresap Family Foundation for their generous funding that makes the Symbols of Hope contest possible.
