60’s Angel—Symbols of Hope 2020 Poster

60’s Angel was illustrated by Abrielle Overall from Yukon Middle School for the 2020 Symbols of Hope Art Contest.

“Hello my name is Abrielle Overall, I like painting, cooking, writing, reading, and sewing. My poster is a peace sign with rainbows and a quote from Winnie the Pooh. For me the peace sign with the angel means there is hope in the dark no matter what, the rainbows are meant to match and the quote means that people do care, I hope that this will inspire someone to keep going in life and to never give up.”

The purpose of Symbols of Hope is to promote a culture of peace, inclusion, and hope through creative projects that inspire people to think, discuss solutions, and take positive action. This year, OKC high school and middle school students submitted art related to the theme THRIVE. Thank you to Cresap Family Foundation for their generous funding that makes the Symbols of Hope contest possible.
